Our dinner at a Korean restaurant in the neighborhood was a frustrating experience with respect to both the service and the food, and I was ready to crumple up the whole week and throw it away. The only part worth remembering was the sikhye, a sweet dessert drink made with barley malt powder and rice. I wanted to leave as quickly as possible, but Viet was still hungry for dessert, so we went to Safeway and bought green tea ice cream.
