Lunch at a place called G Street, located at the corner of 15th and L St. The interior feels brightly colored and optimistic for a downtown lunch place, and they seem to really care about their food. It also is not unimportant that they have an orderly system in place which allows them to prepare similar items concurrently. After you place your order they send you to one of three stations; I think there is one for soup and salad, and one for cold sandwiches and one for hot. Their bánh mì with tofu makes good use of raw jalapeños; a little too understated with the mayonnaise and also overpriced, but all in all far more than I’d expect outside of a Vietnamese bakery.
