Sausage McMuffin with Egg. I ran out to get supplies for a contractor who was fixing up our house, grabbed breakfast on the way back, then came home and laid straw on the remaining bare patches in the garden. I bought a jar of soil at Home Depot to grow cilantro by the window, since cilantro is one of those herbs I always forget to keep around. At the store, I also made a note to remember an indoor seed starter kit with an automatic system for delivering water, which might be just what I need for it to work next time.
I made a dinner of eggs and mushrooms, telling Viet to hurry up and get a plate so the eggs could stay perfectly soft. I cooked fingerling potatoes, with rosemary from the backyard, and I toasted slices of buttered bread.
